POCKET BELLOWS by EDC Gear UK TESTED

The best way to test things to start fires with…is to do it with a purpose. So, I went out and swagged a brace of pheasants, de-breasted them with my gorgeous Mick French mini poultry chopper and set about lighting my Anevay stove using their amazingly dense eco-fuel and the POCKET BELLOWS. The Eco-Fuel are a compressed wood chip product in the shape of an hexagonal log with a hole through it and although it does feel daft to mail order such things, you do get a neat package of nine logs, some wood wool and some matches with a bit of striker all carefully hand-bundled for the money. They last incredibly well, with a few hours of heat. Lighting it can be a tad challenging I have found, and this little whiffler makes it a doddle.

I wanted to have a play with a catapult, too… but really, this is all about the Pocket Bellows, available here: https://www.edcgear.co.uk/prodcat.asp?Cat=firesteels which is the page with the three sets of POCKET BELLOWS products as well as the most awesome selection of ferro rods for making your own fire steels.

Do excuse the bad camera work…

The EDC Gear UK site is brilliant and the people who run it are diamonds. You could really get carried away shopping on that site. They have a lot of stuff you will want, I promise! From firelighting to storage, to cool knives and all sorts of hammock camping kit. They even do the bedding accessories like under blankets and day storage sleeves.

All magazines still available, too. Just hit BUY MAGAZINES above. Check out my hobo reels, too.

More stuff about the stove can be found HERE: www.anevaystoves.com. My write up is here: https://www.slingshotworld.co.uk/anevay-outdoor-technology-join-slingshot-world-family/ do note the last line about wanting to fry pheasant breasts!
