Come to the SHOOT!

This coming Saturday, at Hardwicke Village Hall, Gloucestershire, GL2 4QA , there is an England Slingshot Federation indoor shoot. These are the ones I get allowed to come along to, just as a member of the PRESS! I will be taking video and stills of the event and will have my photo unit there for snapping pretty frames. Always good fun to attend, you get to meet like minded nutters, and swap tall tales and possibly find folks to shoot with at other times. The sheer learning curve, watching others actually hit targets over and over is immeasurable. And it’s free to spectate.

SO BRING YOUR PRIDE AND JOY AND SEE IT IN ISSUE SEVEN!

The details on the England Slingshot Federation page are: 18th of November, Hardwicke Village Hall, Hardwicke, Gloucestershire GL2 4QA.
Payment will be on the door: adults £25 Juniors £15 Registration from 9am.

I use a DAYLIGHT lamp and a special light box for snapping pretty frames, as I am too stupid and uneducated in real photography to use flash and find that if it looks good via that set up and my proper camera, then it looks good on the page. The camera works well and still makes sumptuous images. It was something I did first for Anglers’ Mail, going to shops and taking product shots. Slingshots are often shiny and challenging to photograph.

But done right, you see them in Slingshot World Magazine and hurt for wanting them!

A picture snapped at a catapult shoot. Like the one at Hardwicke Village hall this weekend!

Finally, I also like to take Classic AIMINATCHA shots for folks to use. I love it when I see a rash of them appear as people’s profile images after a shoot. After all, who bothers and try to get a friend to take a good one? And versus the Canon, well, doing better than a pro DSLR is hard! And it takes me moments. Come along, and get yours free, too!
