I literally cannot find it in myself to go about the industry saying I WILL do this and that.. so always wait until I have all but finished an issue before I can sell the advertising . That time is NOW! I have a bloody fabulous slice of my lifeblood efforts all but ready to cook up into the big game pie that is Slingshot World magazine ISSUE FOUR and you can still have your brand in these now hallowed pages! (ALL THREE PREVIOUS ISSUES ON SALE HERE: https://slingshot-world.ecwid.com/)
It’s not as costly as you think and comes with the editor wanting to know about your stuff… as after all, as a reader, I too would want to know if what was in the ads was bollocks or brilliant, wouldn’t I? That also means seeing your kit tried and tested by the best shooters, in video and stills published right here on this website as well as in print. You even get it back afterwards unless you specify promotional further distribution.. that is, you pick who gets it afterwards.. good on social media, that!
I can tell you that folks who found it works and are supporting the magazine all over again include living ledge Gamekeeper John III, Sheepy’s Best Bands and Richard Rogers, Celtic Cattys, HirdHawks Design, Hegarty Slings, Mark Johnson, David Brazil and we have new folks in the lovely people at Ranger shop in deepest Surbiton, as well as a crazy DART product from China! Balls Of Steel Sussex are sending enough ammo to sink a dingy and thus I can send out 25x freebies on magazines again… maybe even offer wee postage extra options and do like 50’s and 100’s for cheapo supplement for beginners to try before committing to a heap? SightRight are awesome and Brian the speargun fisher from Las Vegas, has said ‘yes’ again, which is also great news for FREE GIFTS on the cover of ALL magazines purchased.
We have a massive splash from Mark Clark’s Sling City range, with the best ever ‘How To Aim’ page, the magazine has ever seen, as he wrote it.
I am tickling a shop here and a brand there.. and won’t jinx anything by naming stuff that isn’t real yet, but I am so grateful already that we are all doing this again! I am all but finished with the editorial, so it’s last pages and design and ..adverts!
The aim is to be online to sell on the Glorious 12th of August but I can tell you that the first event we will be at, selling the mag, will be the all new shoot being sponsored by Celtic Cattys and held by the new outfit called Scarface Slingshot on Saturday August 15th. A rugged moniker for a mild mannered fellow who is deeply passionate about his new business…. amongst other things, he is getting some BIG but deeply ‘moocherous’ luggage for your day out.. and will be selling a wide variety of kit and rubbery stuff in future.
The Big Three are most assuredly still on board. Learn about the best money you will ever spend on your hobby from SimpleShot and drool over the new stuff from WASP with the prettiest ad images we have ever had. They used a professional and he is annoyingly brilliant. And then learn what was in Marcellus Wallace’s brief case.. they are GOLDEN and come from the foundry men at ProShot Catapults.
EVENT PLUUGG!
The Sussex Hunters Catapult Cup is an event run by Scarface Slingshot in the shape mostly of Lee Grover and his crew of help. Sponsored as said by Celtic Cattys, it looks cool. A hunters course of 10mm thick targets that go DINGGGGGG, sounds good.
The magazine will be going along to this shoot and selling all four issues. It may have to be kinda without a cuddle is all…
So see you at the shoot… there is room not to crowd each other and it will one of the first after Lockdown receded, after the Bristol Pirates, who are probably doing prize giving as I type, risking my wife’s wrath on a Sunday ‘us’ time day…. lol
If you want to be in, email me at [email protected] and we can talk…. if it’s a ‘not this time’ then at least you will get an idea of what you get for the investment.
See you in Sussex!
Adam
